I was just wondering how strenuous the Bedouin trekking is. It is rated as moderate in the brochure. I consider myself a good walker and am comfortable with going on an "easy" walk, but I'm never sure of how a tour compares it to their moderate or hard ratings. I'm also trying to decide which I'd like the best, the felucca or the cruiser down the Nile.

Re: Beyond the Pyramids trekking
Hi Keith,
The trekking portion of our Beyond the Pyramids tour is graded as moderate. The main consideration is the sand, which can be quite energy sapping if you are unused to an active lifestyle.
As long as you have a good level of fitness and have some walking experience you'll find the trekking comfortable, although nobody needs hiking experience. Everybody can walk at their own pace and although there is physical exertion, you will find it sustainable.
You should get fit before you go rather than use the tour to get fit, otherwise you will find it tough. But please don't worry, we haven't left anybody in the desert before.
Whether you prefer our cruise boat Amy or our Feluccas is entirely down to what you want at that point in the tour. Do you want to pamper yourself in a little bit of luxury on Amy or do you want to step back in time and experience life on a sailing vessel which was first introduced to Egypt by the Romans.
Whatever choice you make you'll find each a great way to drift down the famous Nile.
