Hi

im due to go on nile valley & red sea 01/09/03, does anyone know if there is anywhere on this trip that i can charge my mobile phone or minidisc player? i know you can buy adaptors but ive found these sometimes dont work as different countries have different voltage.

Thanks!

Re: charging electrical items

Hi Beck,

Thanks for your post. You'll find that there are electrical sockets in your hotel rooms, and also on the MS Amy boat during your cruise.

Egypt's electricity is 220v / 50Hz, so as long as you check that your own appliances are compatible you should have no problems.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time,

Re: charging electrical items

Can someone tell me whether egypt sockets are normal European 3 pin or UK square pin, or some other unencountered variation?

Thanks

Re: charging electrical items

dharper,

electrical sockets in Egypt are of the continental type. 2 round pins.
