Egypt during Christmas

I'm thinking of doing the Egypt & Jordan Caravan tour, departing 23 December. Can anyone advise if Christmas or New Years Day cause any closure of sites, etc during this tour?

Would also be good to hear reviews from others who have been on this tour.

Hello Tony,

I travelled through Egypt in December '03/ Jan '04. I was amazed to see Christmas decorations all over Cairo & other parts of the country. I just didnt expect to see Christmas being celebrated there!

At that time, nothing closed over Christmas or New Year, it was business as usual! So I guess it will be the same for you!

I have only done the Nile Safari part of your tour & loved it!

Hi Tony,

I think Debbie has pretty much answered your question, but i just thought i'd add that if we run the tours over the festive period then the itinerary should stay the same as we wouldn't run the tour if we thought sites would be closed.
