Has anyone out there been on the Nile Rover tour? A few of us are planning to do this in November but do not fancy the train journey from Aswan back to Cairo (approx 14 hours during the day). Is it as bad as I am imagining it to be? What is the private boat AMY like? Are the hotels nice?...... If anyone has any other experiences or tips about this tour I would be grateful.

I did the Nile Safari in March'99 & had a marvelous time. You will enjoy lazing away onboard Amy. The food is good ( best carrot soup I ever tasted)& you are able to enjoy lying on the sundeck with some ice cream.
Are you sure the train travel is by day? As when I did the above mentioned tour , we travelled by night.
The Hotels were clean with fresh linen & good showers...what more can you ask for??
Just enjoy your holiday , it will probably much different to what you're used to. Go with an open mind & be prepared for a well organised tour...wish I could join you!!
