I will be leaving for Egypt in a couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions!
1. At tourist sites (e.g. valley of the kings) are credit cards accepted? Or, do we have to pay in cash?
2. I cannot tell from the itinerary how much swimming will be done on this tour? Does anyone know? I only own 2 piece bathing suits but I can bring shorts and a t-shirt, if necessary. Does anyone have any comments?

I did this tour 2 years ago. I would expect to use cash (Egyptian pounds or Jordan dollars). You would only need to buy souveniers or food, as entrance fees to tourist sites visited during the tour are paid by the tour. I only used credit cards in Cairo. We stayed extra days in Cairo and visited a few upscale restaurants and larger jewelry stores that accepted credit cards.
I brought a tankini bathing suit and used it once at the Dead Sea. The pool on the ship was too cold to swim in for me. Onboard the ship, I wore shorts and tank tops. When visiting sites on shore, I wore capris or long pants and tshirts.
