I'm read that only 150 visitors per day are granted entrance to the Pyramids of Giza. How early do people need to arrive to lineup for entrance. So I would assume people on the Jewels of Egypt tour and are IMTtav Egypt tours have a pretty non-existance chance of getting inside eh?

Re: Entering Pyramids of Giza?
That is only for the first and biggest pyramid. I went into the second one - sorry names escape me. Overall I went into I think 5 pyramids and about 8 mastabas though only one at Giza.
IMO Mastabas so much better than pyramids.

Re: Entering Pyramids of Giza?
Hi Nessa,
Thanks for your question.
Tae is correct in that the authorities only limit the amount of visitors to the first/largest pyramid each day and the others remain open all day.
Our tours arrive early at the site to miss the hottest part of the day and the baulk of other tourists and I'm not aware of anybody ever missing out on the pyramids on one of our tours.
If you specifically want to go inside the first pyramid and are worried about missing out advise your tour leader of this on the first day and we can always arrange private transport to Giza for you early on the 2nd morning of your tour but it shouldn't be necessary.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Brendan
Re: Entering Pyramids of Giza?
We had no problems getting tickets on our imtrav tour. The guides know what time they need to be there to make sure no one misses out. I went in the biggest one.
