I am joining a tour with ImTrav to Egypt and I will be joining the Alexandria Extension (ETAL) 2 days before my tour starts. I just want to ask a few questions and if anyone can give me an insight...it would be appreciated.
1) What time does that ETAL depart from the hotel to the train station?
2) Likewise, What time approximately do i get back to the hotel in Cairo after the extension tour?
3) Does the extension tour to Alexandria include a guided tour? Or I am expected to maneauver the city on my own via taxi/walking.
If anyone has taken this exetension before that would really be great~!

Thanks for your questions.
I don't have the exact times of the transfers to and from the station in Cairo but you will be leaving Cairo relatively early in the morning and returning in the early evening the following day.
In the hotel in Cairo you will be contacted by one of our local staff who will provide you with full instructions, advise you on times, give you a contact number for any problems, and give you your train tickets.
The excursion does not include a guided tour of Alexandria but instructions on what you might like to do and how to get there.

Thanks for answering the questions quickly. The reason I'm asking is that I will be arriving to the hotel relatively late at night (meaning around 1am on the 15th of September) and the tour will also start that day (sept 15) in the morning and not sure who/how i will be contacted from the hotel.
I guess when i check in the hotel personnel will give me information? (I hope)...

It's nothing to worry about; our local rep will contact you in the morning of the 15th or leave a note under your door. As long as we have your arrival details we'll know roughly what time you'll be arriving at the hotel in Cairo.
