I getting ready to leave next week for Egypt and I was rereading some of the pre-departure information about the felucca part of the tour.

How important is bringing a sleeping bag or sleeping sheet? Won't it be hot considering it's July? Or does it cool down considerably after sunset? Can I buy something locally to use?

I'm tight on space in my pack because I will be travelling for a several of months after Egypt. I don't want to pack something I'll probably use only once.

Thanks,
Stacy

Felucca Journey

Hi,

During the summer months the evenings will get cooler but not a cold as during the winter so a sleeping bag may not be needed but you will need to take a sleeping sheet as although mattresses are provided, bedding is not!

You will also need to take a towel with you whilst you are on the felucca but i would think that you will be able to buy this locally.

hope this helps

Felucca Journey

Hi Stacy,

When I went (2005), they had blankets we could use if we needed to. It was cooler at night, but not cold, I went in May.
