Hi,
I am doing the Sailtrek & Sinai trip in 2 weeks, and I was wondering if hiking boots are recommended for the hike up Mt. Sinai - because they'll take up a lot of room in my rucksack for just the 4 hours usage!
Also, would it be possible for me to send my arrival details to you (ChrisP), to make sure I'll be picked up at the airport?!
Thanks,
Charlene P

Re: hiking boots
Hi Charlene,
We don't include hiking boots as an essential item for climbing Mt Sinai but they are a good idea. Parts of the ascent are rocky and normal shoes/trainers don't offer the kind of ankle protection as a pair of hiking boots. The decision is completely up to you though, we won't stop you making the ascent if you're wearing normal shoes/trainers.
