I know what you mean, everywhere i go on holiday, i have to go riding!
i used to have a horse and have since i was really young but i just don't have the time to keep one anymore. so horse riding is a must do whilst on holiday!.

you're really lucky to have had the experience of riding in Egypt a lot. i am finally booked onto the Egypt and Jordan caravan tour for march 2009, i can't wait!
if i manage to take pics of riding in Petra i will share them on the board with you.
thank you so much for the offer of organizing riding in Cairo for me, but i hope that the tour leader should be able to help when i get there as it is mentioned on my holiday description.
taking pictures on horseback must have been difficult!
i bet they were well worth the trouble though!

The tour leader is the best person to help organise any extra activities. I would also love to ride to Petra, I get into trouble for seeking out equestrian activities even though I have a horse in the UK!

I have not had the pleasure of enjoying your tour, but I have travelled in Egypt quite alot. There always seems to be time, at some stage, to enjoy a horse ride around the Pyramids. I would, in fact, encourage you to do this........it is an AMAZING experience, one I have enjoyed many, many times!!

You should be able to arrange this with ImTrav, either online or via your Tour Leader. If not, please let me know & I will see if a friend of mine in Cairo can assist you with this.

I still have not made it to Petra...it's on the MUST do list!! I too, would love to ride into Petra....that would just be a gobsmack experience, one to keep & hold in the memory bank for ever! I would love to see any pics you may take of this...please???

I took some amazing pics, on horseback, out in the desert, of the Pyramids lit up for the sound & light show....just wonderful!! I look at them now & wonder how the heck I managed them, when the horse would not stand still for longer than 1 second!
