Mum and I are trying to figure out how much money we should take to Jordan. We'll be spending approx 5 days there.

Food?
Water/drinks?
Souvenirs?

Hi Luci....If you go to the Im-Tr home page you can down load your trip's dossier. Lots of information is provided. Local currency is a jordanian dinar(jd)which is divided into 1000 fils. One pound sterling is approx. 1.30JD dated Dec/06..things will have changed. Enjoy your trip!!

Babylon has pretty much answered your question for you, though I would of course advise that you check the current exchange rate for Jordanian Dinar online.

I'm presuming you have booked a tour through us, so your accommodation is already provided. All that would be left is meals, transport and drinks. Alcohol can sometimes be a little expensive, but still is generally cheaper then the UK. Food and accommodation can be VERY cheap, so its always worth spending a little more for a little better. Below is the average price for meals, in US dollars.

Simple snack: US$5

Light meal: US$10-18

Fancy restaurant: US$25-40
