How much to hire a taxi to Memphis, Saqara, Dahshur, Meidum?

Just wondered how much is the going rate to hire a driver or driver and guide for a trip to Memphis, Saqara, Dahshur and Meidum?

Hiring a taxi

Hi Chizz

I just got back from doing the Jewels of Egypt and I had an extra day in Cairo. 3 of us hired a taxi for 5 hours for 200 LE (Egyptian pounds). He took us all over Cairo then we headed out to Memphis and Saqqara. The step pyramid was a great site. We didn't go into the tombs (at a cost) but you can take great photos of the pyramid without paying from the parking lot. We didn't do the tombs..we were "tombed out"!!

i did the nile valley red sea tour this year and we had a full last day, of tour in cairo. our tour leader organised a guide and driver for us it cost us about 200 to 300 pounds each that included tips, also included entre into memphis and saqqara. that was for 3 of us as the others were not well.
