ISIC- good value?

hey everyone.
i am planning (and budgeting) for my first trip to egypt. something that i have come across several times in guidebooks and things is the ISIC card. i am looking at several "adventure" grade tours (i.e. no enterance fees inluded) and heard that the card can get students (like me) up to 50% off at some sites? is this true? if so- awesome!

This was correct when I used one back in 2003, so Im guessing it remains the same!!

I would certainly ensure that you take your card with you or purchase one on arrival in Egypt.

Hi Riddler,

That's right, if you qualify for the card then you can make some good savings on entrance fees in Egypt (as well as a host of other countries). It's definitely worth getting whilst you are a student and plan to travel.

thanks guys- i'm on a tight budget and having a card like the ISIC card is a great idea! (cos really- who is poorer than a uni student?). mmmmm... egypt. happy, happy, happy!
