Well, we've taken the plunge and reserved the above tour. Work situations delayed our going until later in the year than planned. We're also taking the Backstreet Break Cairo beforehand.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who is going on the same tour, same date.
Also a question for the ImTrav staff: can your local Egypt staff help with getting a bus ticket from Cairo to Nuweiba for the day the tour ends (Nov. 11)? If so, would it be best to wait until we're in Cairo to worry about that?

Your tour leader should always be very willing and happy to help you purchase whatever bus tickets you need. If you let them know what your requirements are at the earliest convenience they should have no problem helping you.

So we will just wait til we get there to bother about that.
From what I've been able to gather online, tickets do need to be purchased in advance. But it's also important to know which bus station to go to and, as it seems to be a long ride, I'd like to find a comfortable one if that is an option. Most of the comfortable ones seem to go to Sharm el Sheikh, not Nuweiba; yet I'm sure I read somewhere you could take a comfortable SuperJet bus from Cairo to Amman, and I think that would have to go through Nuweiba.
