Just ten days to go before joining the Jewels of Egypt tour! As I am making up my packing list, I see that laundry facilites are available in some hotels and on the cruise boat. Does that mean laundromat-type facilites, in which case I should bring detergent, or a service in which your dirty clothes come back magically clean and folded (no need to bring detergent)?

Hi Jabugha,

Thanks for your question.

It means the latter - in most of the hotels we stay at in Egypt they offer an overnight laundry service for a very reasonable charge. I got a few of my things laundered in Luxor and the service was spot on. You can ask your tour leader where he/she recommends you get your clothes cleaned whilst you are travelling.
