Re: middle east highlights
Hello Bayda,
I travelled to Egypt alone almost 3 years ago. This was my first & only OS trip. I found Im Trav to be genuinely interested in the welfare & safety of their groups. Our Tour Leader purchased antibiotics for those of us that required them. She gave sound advise on different things & was a constant source of reference in regard to the best places to purchase goods etc.
I know it is a big step to take heading off alone, but I found it a character building episode of my life.
Try not to worry to much about being on your own. You will receive excellent information from your Tour Leader in regard to what not to do etc & how to dress to avoid unwanted attention.
Most of all came with an open mind & heart. I found the Egyptian people very friendly & easy going.
Have a great time, wish I could be there too!

Hi bayda,
You will have absolutely no problems travelling alone as a female (or male) with Imaginative Traveller. I've done several tours with them in various countries, and their tours are good and safe.
The tour leader will always advise you on do's and dont's, and what clothing is appropiate. You will have an arrival transfer, so you don't need to worry about finding your hotel. And from there you can choose to stay with the group always if you're not sure about venturing out of your own (if you're not on some sort of group activity). But rest assured there are always group members who want to go out on their own, and you can join them easily.
The best part of these tours is that a lot of other people come alone as well (so not a lot of married couples, as you might find on tours from other companies), so mingling with the other group members is always easy and fun! These other group members come from all sorts of countries, so as an added bonus on these tours you not only get to know the countries you will be travelling through, but also the countries from where the other members are coming. You will see, when you leave, it's like saying goodbye to family.
So go out there and enjoy! And don't worry too much.
Robert.
