Re: Mideast Explorer
I have a friend who did this in November, and I am pretty sure that they went to Dahab for scuba diving and red sea cruising instead of Israel.

Re: Mideast Explorer
Hi JJ,
We are keeping everybody up to date with how the Israel situation is affecting our tours via our Information Forum. This is located below our India/China/Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan/Sri Lanka Forum.
As soon as we make any change to our current policy we will update the forum immediately.
In December of last year we amended our Middle East Explorer tour to include some time in the majestic Sinai area of Egypt rather than visit Israel.

I was on the MEE in October and November 2000. Imtrav substituted Dahab and Sharks Bay for Israel. I really like Sharks Bay, the Bedouin Camp was wonderful. We had huts right on the beach and the snorkelling was awesome. Dahab may appeal to others, but I would have preferred to have stayed longer at Sharks Bay. It was quite a long day travelling to Dahab. If you scuba dive, then there are many opportunities there. I found Dahab full of hippies, shops and restaurants. The two days there gave us a welcome break though.
