Has anyone been on this trip? My wife and I would love to hear your impressions ......good or bad.
How is the food? If it's bad, what are the alternatives? How is the train from Aswan to Cairo during the daytime? It seems like a great adventure and we are 'up for it'. But I would love to see those comments.

I recently went on the Sailtrek & Sinai tour, which is quite similar to the one you are going on. The train trip from Cairo to Aswan is pleasant enough - the views are incredible, though I suggest you grab a seat as far away from the toilet as possible!
The food is average, but there is always pleny of opportunity to pick up snacks around and about.
In a nutshell, you are going to have the most wonderful time and I am madly envious of you! Have a fabulous time!
