Hello,
I`m thinking about doing either the Nile Valley & Red Sea tour or the Nile & Sinai tour , but was wondering if the Nile Sinai tour was a bit rushed, and was wondering about the hotel`s on the Nile & sinai tour? How would they compare to the N/V & Red Sea?
Also the train trip back up to Cairo on the Nile & Sinai sounds like it could be a pretty uncomfortable trip compared to having a sleeper on the N/V & Red Sea.
Also , what`s the hike up Mt Sinai like and how long does it take?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Nile & Sinai or Nile Valley & Red Sea
Hi Michael
Great to hear that you are thinking of coming over here, You will have a ball !
The accommodation in the Nile Valley and Red Sea tour lies under the Traveller Category, where the hotels we are using are three stars tousist class hotels, with ensute bathrooms, air-condition,and other facilities.
Most of them have swimming pools.
While on the Nile and Sinai tour, we are using adventurer hotels which is more basic but clean. On this particular tour the accommodation varies from 2-3 star hotels in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, to a monstary hostel in St Catherine,to beach bungalows in Sharks Bay.
Hiking up Mount Sinai is one of the great expriences you will ever have in your life.
It is not that hard as some people think.
There is two ways to go up the mountain which your tour leader will give you a full brief about it and escort you till you reach the summit.
One way is called the camel trek which is a smooth zig zag way where the camels can easly go up this way. At the end of this way you will find 700 rocky steps leading you to the summit where you will get to see the best sun rise ever. The whole way will take about two and half hours till you reach the top.
On the way down you will have two options , either to go down from the same way or to take the other one which is called Jacob's Ladder and it consists of 3500 step that the ancient monks have put over each other. Yes it is a bit tough but the views are amazing.
Your tour leader will give you more information about the mountain and the plan to climb it during the tour.
The weather is always cold on the top of the mountain so we advise that you bring some heavy cloth and don't forget your hiking shoes.
I wish you will have a great a holiday that you will never forget....
Cheers
Mohammed
