I'm going to egypt on nile valley and red sea next week.
I've travelled with you before in china but was travelling for a year so had a backpack anyway... I was wondering if I should use my bckpack for this trip or if a small case on wheels.. like handluggage size, will be ok as i've had enough of living out of a rucksack now!

Not certain if you have already arrived in Egypt or not, but thought I would reply to your question.
As you will be required to carry/drag your own luggage at some stage of your tour, I think your small bag on wheels would be the way to go. However I would also consider taking a small day pack for carrying water, camera's, tissue's, etc, as well.
