I haven't been able to find a map showing where the Salma hotel is located. I also tried google maps and google earth hoping that someone had marked it, no such luck.
Does anyone have the coordinates so I can mark it on my own map?

Note to ImTrav: Marking all the starting point hotels in google earth and making the file available for customers sounds like a great "abuse the intern" project ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

The Salma Hotel is located at 12 Mohammed Kamel El Morsi Street.
I do have a little map here of where it is situated if you would like to email me. I don't have GPS/mapping coordinates though!

It's in an area called Mohandessin, which *should* help cabbies find it, though on our last day, we got taken for a pretty long ride before I yelled "Mohandessin" and the guy turned around. It's on a pleasant residential street, and it's small, so it's not widely known. The nearby KFC and Chicken Tikka place helped us get the cabbie "home." I had a wonderful experience at the nearby mosque, where the imams were very welcoming. I doubt if it would have happened had my wife been along at the time, though.
