Sand and camera's

Has anyone had any problems with sand in their cameras? I'm a little concerned going to egypt and the effect it will have on the camera.
Any advice?

I had no problem with sand. However I strongly recommend you take a polarising filter, protects your lense and balances the bright reflective desert and gives you a blue sky.

I took an expensive digital camera and had no problem with sand. It wasn't blowing around or anything.

I did keep my camera in a case when I wasn't using it.

But I don't think you'll have any problem.
