Sleeping Bags

I am travelling on Sailtrek and Sinai on the 15th July. Will it be so cold that I need a sleeping bag for the felucca or will a sleeping sheet be fine.

If anyone has been on this trip before I would be grateful for any information.

Hi There!

Thanks for your post.

For this tour you do not need a sleeping bag, but a sleep sheet would be fine. The temperature in Egypt ranges between 30 - 41 degrees celcius during the month of July, and whilst it will be cooler at night it will still be comfortably warm.

A sleeping sheet will be plenty for the felucca, but the overnight train from Cairo to Aswan is freezing, and I was very glad of my sleeping bag!!

The felucca trip is AMAZING! Take off your watch and just sit back, relax and let the time pass you by!!
