Hello all. I am going on the Beyond the Pyramids tour starting on April 24. My question is about sleeping bags. I have borrowed one but it is quite thin and its a bit of a squeeze for me to fit inside it. I want to know if it will be possible to unzip it and use it as a blanket, or do I need to actually sleep in it all the time (this seems like a really stupid question, I know, but we are going to spend 3 nights on the felucca and I have no idea what the sleeping will be like there).
Also, what kind of sleeping sheet do I need? I'm looking at buying a "sleeping bag liner", is this the same thing as a sleeping sheet? If so, should I buy silk or cotton, and should I get one that has been treated with anti-bug stuff?
Ok, thats a lot of questions but if anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Re: sleeping bags/sleeping sheets question
Hi Gazuli
I did the same tour Last October - although it was hot most of the time the early mornings can be really cold Im guessing the itinery is the same as when i went so you will have a couple of days in the desert as well as the felluca so if i were you i would get a better fitting bag... Oh and I had a cotton liner - didnt really use it - lent it to somebody else for one of the long coach trips though
Nik.
Re: sleeping bags/sleeping sheets question
Hello,
We do recommend that people bring a sleeping bag on the tour which is optional particularly during the summer months March-October. How you sleep in the sleeping bag is entirely up to you.
Sleeping sheets are effectively thin sleeping bags (sheets) for warm climates. Sleeping bag liners made from silk/cotton are specifically designed to go into sleeping bags and can be used instead of the sleeping bag when it's hot.
Sleeping arrangements are explained in the dossier.
