suitcase or pack??

Hi
I'm doing the Egypt in Style tour in Jan and was wondering what people usually take and what is recommended, a pack or a suitcase? I've read all the paperwork and I know packs are recommended for most tours, I was just unsure about this one.

Hello Caitie,

I have travelled in Egypt sveral times. I personally prefer a soft sided (something like heavy parachute material) "bag/suitcase" that has good quality roller blade wheels.

The first time I went to Egypt I just took a fairly basic soft sided suitcase with average wheels. It died in action!! Since then I have taken much better suited bag/suitcase (I think anyway).

I also take a small to medium backpack for carrying every days items, such as camera's, water, tissues, phone etc.

I have not been able to enjoy the Egypt in Style tour as yet, am hoping I will be able to shout myself this trip in May 2009 as a 50th birthday present to myself!!

Hello Caitie,

Thanks for your enquiry. I agree with Debbie, soft sided bags are the way forward and if they have wheels its fantastic for the airport.

Have a great time on the Instyle tour, they are fabulous!
