Hi,

I will be going on the Egypt/Jordan Caravan Trip beginning Oct 21. We are to stop at the Orphanage (The Sunshine Project) during our trip and I was wondering if I am able to bring the kids something like candy/. Is this logistically impossible due to rules and/or the # of kids etc. If I am able to bring something, are there any suggestions?

Regards,

Catherine

Re: The Sunshine Project

Hello Catherine,

Each time I go to Egypt, I usually take a donation for the Sunshine Project. I have never taken candy/sweets, but I do take pens, pencils, colouring books, crayons, exercise books. I have also taken baby clothes, feeders etc. The poeple who run the Sunshine Project are wonderful & they will welcome you into the childrens home, when you can sit & talk. They do have some rules, such as visitors not being allowed to pick children up. But they will be most happy to show you through the house & see just how clean & well run it is.

All the kids look really happy, well cared for & even more important.... (I feel) they are loved.

Hope you you enjoy your time there, don't forget to sign the visitors book & maybe make a donation to this very worthwhile cause.

Kindest regards..............Debbie
