A friend and I are currently deciding between these two tours (travelling in Mar.08) and I would love to hear peoples thoughts on the tours.
Is the main difference the level of accomodation? How would you describe the hotels?
Are either of these tours ever cancelled due to lack of interest?
Any and all thoughts are appreciated.

Re: Treasures of Nile Valley vs. Egypt in Style
Hi ktdeal,
Thanks for your questions.
The main difference, is, as you say, the quality of accommodation and transport used on tour. Of course they also have slightly different itineraries too.
The accommodation used on Traveller style tours in Egypt is very good whilst on Egypt in Style, which is a Connoisseour tour, it's excellent, staying in the finest hotels in each location. You also have the convenience of a couple of flights for the longer journeys on Egypt in Style.
In terms of cancellations; each tour requires a minimum of 4 bookings to be guaranteed to operate. Because this number is so low both tend to operate on most occasions and cancellations are rare. We are more than happy to confirm the number of bookings already placed when you book so that you can decide what to do if it is below 4.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Brendan
Re: Treasures of Nile Valley vs. Egypt in Style
Thanks Brendan,
In a recent post you said you use the same hotel in Alexandria for all tours - does that happen in other cities as well?
What is the difference (if any) between overnight train accomodations on "Treasures" and "Style"
Re: Treasures of Nile Valley vs. Egypt in Style
Hi again ktdeal,
The sleeper train compartments used on Traveller and Connoisseur tours in Egypt are the same. In each city in Egypt that our tours stay in we will typically have a preferred 'Adventurer' standard hotel, a preferred 'Traveller' style one and a preferred 'Connoisseur' style hotel with an alternative lined up in case of low availability on any given date. In Alexandria we typically only use one hotel because it's a good hotel at a good price but this is not the case in every city.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Brendan
