Going to Egypt for ten days in December, from the UK. Can I get a visa at the airport, or do I need to organise it beforehand? I don't need multiple entry, and I have an Australian passport.

Hi Lou,
There are visa services at Cairo airport, and at the time of writing it is possible to obtain a visa on arrival, though it is not advisable to rely on this unless you have no choice.
We would always recommend that you obtain your visa before setting off from the UK, just in case. You never know...if there was a problem with your passport, for example, then you could be refused a visa.
