I'm doing the Istanbul to Cairo trip on Nov 6th. I'm Irish and my boyf Australian. The company that we booked the Imag trip with said that we could get our visas on arrival to Turkey, Jordan, Syria and Cairo as the only embassy in Ireland is the Egyptian one-but that can be got on arrival. We have just arrived back from Oz and after really studying the trip dossier-I'm FREAKED!!!!
I am sooo confused and worried that when we start the trip, we won't get into these countries. I have rang all of the other embassies in England and they have also stated that all 4 visas can be got ON ARRIVAL... can anyone help me please????... Have you done this trip before.. how strict are they about having your visa before you get there... any help would be really appreciated as we are heading off next Saturday.
Also are we required to bring sleeping bags???

Did the trip this past summer
You can get all visas on arrival for Irish and Oz
EXCEPT for Syria
Do not go on the trip without that visa, you will have to pay a lot of money in Istanbul to get it and will not be able to go on the trip and stay behind a couple days as one person had to do on our trip
