Hi everyone
I'm thinking of booking a trip over to Greece this summer and have been looking at your Athens to Istanbul tour. Do you have many people booked already? Is it going to be too hot? I have heard it's easy just to go island hopping around Greece and wondered what the difference is for me if I go on a tour instead of just going and winging it???
Also I haven't really started looking into it properly but can you tell me what ferry deck class means?
Thanks for your help ... the tour looks awesome.

Re: Greece and Italy in Summer
Hi Little Miss Happy,
Thanks for your questions.
This is a very popular tour and every date except the 22nd September tour has reached well over minimum numbers (minimum 4) and even the 22nd September date is about to pass this number by the looks of it.
In fact I wouldn't leave it too late to book because it looks like some of the summer dates might well sell out in the near future!
The region does experience hot summers but not as hot as some of our other destinations like India and South East Asia. The question is how hot is too hot? If you hate hot weather then you might find it a bit uncomfortable but if you don't mind it I think you'd find it pleasant. It's normally nice 'dry' heat.
By travelling in a group all of the arrangements are taken care of for you and you can completely relax whilst you are travelling rather than worry about where to get to to catch the next ferry and how to get there. You'll also be travelling with like-minded people and have a tour leader at your disposal throughout to maximise your time in the region.
Deck class means no cabin or bed on the overnight ferries. Instead there are airline style seats to crash out on through the night, which are perfectly comfortable and a lot cheaper than cabins, which keeps the cost of the tour down.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Brendan
