I will be travelling with some friends, taking the Naples and Amalfi Coast Tour, departing Sept 5, 2009. We are trying to book accommodations for our time after the trip ends, but are having a hard time getting train info.On day 10 in the trip dossier, it says we take the train to Naples by train(from Cilento?). Can anyone tell me if it will be possible to get off this train in Positano or Praiano, and if so which train it is we'll be on. If we can't get off in Positano or Praiano, how close can we get to either place?

The train that you will take back to Naples will pass through the town of Salerno, here it should be possible to take a bus to the south to Positano or Praiano.
Another option could be to take the train all the way back to Naples and then take the circumvesuvia (the local train line)to Sorrento.
Your tour leader will be able to advise you on the best of these options and assist you in buying the tickets.

We have another question. It looks like our tour joining point hotel is Hotel Cavour in Naples. Can you tell me what the cost of a taxi is from the airport to the hotel? There will be 4 of us travelling together.
Train Passes & Prices
I have gone on three different sights…EuroRail, Trenitailia and Rail-Europe and received three very different prices. Is it better to pre-order the tickets and have them before we go or is it better to just buy them while we are in Italy? What is a reasonable price from Florence to Rome? How far in advance do you have to make a reservation?
