We're going! There's four of us. Two adults and two kids - one of 15 and one of 10 (both boys). How old are yours?

Its not long now till the trip. I wonder if any other families have booked on.

Does anyone know what's the best currency to take - US dollars or sterling? Also, will we be able to exchange any currency at the airport when we arrive (6am) or can we exchange at the Dong Fang Hotel?

Re: China August 2005

Hello,

I would recommend that you take both cash and some travellers cheques just to be on the safe side. Either currency is acceptable so your native would be an appropriate choice. Changing money at the airport is a good idea as it's relatively easy although I'm not sure if the exchanges will be open at this time. One would think they would as china is an enterprising country. You may also exchange money at the Meeting point hotel and many of the other registered hotels and national banks in China along the way which the tour leader will be able to point out.
