I am trying to plan this years trip (we have done Thailand and Kenya already) but when I look at the tours, I can't see the dates available. The site looks different and I can't find what I need. I have to request my vacation time as soon as possible so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Need help seeing the dates
Hello,
If you let me know which tour you need availability for and the dates I can look into this for you.
Or phone one of the tema on 01473 667337
If a date isn't visable on our website it usually means there is no availability and the tour is full.
Hope this helps
Kate
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Would be grateful if you could let us know how you found Kenya. Any information gratefully received.
Many thanks
Re: Need help seeing the dates
I really don't think it is that there isn't availability, it is more that the dates aren't showing. There are the long range of dates for prices -- but no actually departure dates. And it wasn't just for one tour -- it was for all the Family tours. We are looking for March 08 --and probably China or India.
Thanks for your help.
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Kenya was fabulous. We went this year (april 07). This was our second time traveling with Imaginative Family. It was really fantastic. The guides, Alex (Kenyan), Wayne (who is from the UK and was there doing training -- isn't usually there I believe) and Joseph (driver) were just terrific. Really fun. Such a good time -- and did a great jon with the children. The truck (bus) was much bigger than I expected -- the roads are really really rough -- and I thought it was great we were pretty high up because then the kids could really see. If they were just in Range Rovers I don't think they would have been able to see as much. This way they could actually stand up and walk to the wimdow with the best view. Tha warriors were great -- and we felt really safe -- even in the middle of the night heading to the loo!
Our favorite part was the camping -- and we aren't camping people. It was so great to be outdoors 24 hours a day. So so fun. We loved hanging out after a day full of safari and the kids loved being able to run around. Cooking outside was great too -- ALex was a great cook.
The only thing I didn't love was the 4 days at Momboso. The resort was lovely -- but laying around a pool drinking all day isn't really my cup of tea -- and it felt like we could be at any seaside resport in the world. I felt like we had left Kenya. Two days of R&R here would have been enough -- however, the kids really enjoyed themselves. (And the adults did too -- we are just more of adventure travellers).
Our group was just lovely -- 10 kids from 7-13. They all were like siblings and ran wild. They were my son's favorite part of the trip.
I am happy to answer more questions....just ask away.
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Thanks for your answer. Sounds like you had a good time. We too have travelled with Imaginative to both Egypt and Thailand and have great trips.
Were the kids able to swim other than at the beach resort? Weren't there activities to be done in Mombasa eg. snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and day trips? I am not one for lounging around for more than a day or two. Were there any really long drives or were they broken up into manageable chunks?
Thanks again for your comments.
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Hello all,
We have a new brochure out in November, the dates aren't showing as we may be making some itinerary and date changes to some of family tour next year and we are awaiting confirmation. This is the reason why the information you require isn't showing on our website.
Hope this helps
Kate
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Could I just get an idea of dates? I need to request vacation -- it doesn't need to be dead on but I need some idea if there will be a tour over Easter.
Re: Need help seeing the dates
Yes -- there were opportunities to swim other than the resort. At the hotel in Nairobi there was a pool -- and there was another one at one of the lodges we stayed at. Also the campsite that we stayed at had a neighboring lodge that you could pay to swim at.
there were additional things to do in Mombasa -- we did go kayaking and snorkling. And we did one excursation (on our own) to Bombololu Village which was fun. But an an inclusive resort just isn't the way I travel -- I would have prefered more days touring.
There are some long days of driving -- but with the other 9 children to entertain/play with the kids were fine with it. The parents were the ones really ready to get off the bus.
It is really a terrific trip -- I would book it in a heartbeat.
Re: Need help seeing the dates
The dates will be similar to the current brochure but may be a few days out. Most of our tours have a March departure.

Re: Need help seeing the dates
I don't have a current book --- and since I can't see the dates, I am flying blind here.
