Hi,
Banks and ATM's can be found almost everywhere in Egypt. Credit cards are accepted in most shops, restaurants and hotels (with the exception of American Express cards which are not widely accepted). We recommend that you take either USD or GBP currency and travellers cheques which can be readily exchanged for Egyptian Pounds. Its always a good idea to carry around a small amount of pocket change for small trinkets etc.
