Can anyone tell me exactly what the weather would be like for the Fabulous Thailand trip in August. Would it be opressively humid? Would it rain often - or short sharp bursts and then sun? What are the mossies like - particulary on the rafts? Do you need to bring mossie nets? Would love to hear from anyone that has done the trip at that time of year. Contemplating going next year with 9 and 17 year old.

We had much the same concerns as you did but we have booked anyway for 6th August 2005. A friend of mine who lived many years in Thailand has said the rain at that time of the year can be really quite torrential and not as mild as Brendan makes out but was assured all will be well.
Everyone who has ever been there has nothing but praise for the country and the people. Look forward to meeting you if you book on the same trip.
We have two daughters who will be aged 13 and 11 at the time of travel.

Have now booked on 6 Aug Fabulous Thailand - so will see you there. We have two children - girl aged 17 and boy aged 10.
