I was wondering if the road to Abu Simbel was open and if the half day trip was being offered on the Nile Safari trips in August? If not do you suggest booking a flight prior to departure?

Hi Naomi,

The road to Abu Simbel is currently closed. There is talk that it will open again later this year but as yet no official announcment has been made.
Yes it is best to book flights in advance to ensure that you get on the flight of your choice. ie. the one that fits in with your itinerary.
