Hi! I am considering booking on one of your Egypt Traveller tours (probably Pharaoh's Tracks)for next year, and was just wondering whether, as I am going with a female friend, if we booked, all the rooms are twin share, or whether we should get single supplements if the rooms are doubles? Would we have to state twin share wanted when booking?

Re: Accommodation
Hi Dave
My husband and I did the nile valley and red sea tour last September and although we travelled as husband and wife, we were never able to get a double bed. In fact all of the couples on our tour had twin beds in their rooms and the only ones to score a double were the single travellers and the tour leader. I expect these arrangements are deliberate to accommodate travellers like yourself so I do not think it will be necessary to book as a single supplement, unless sharing a room or train cabin is uncomfortable for either of you. ;-)
Have a wonderful trip!
Cheers.
Re: Accommodation
Hi Dave,
It is not necessary to book single supplement on our tours, unless you particularly want a single room.
If you are coming alone you will be paired up with another traveller of the same sex.
If you book with a friend we would assume that you are to share a room. In your case, as you are male and female and do not want to share a double bed, then you should advise your booking agent that you want twin rooms (i.e. 2 beds) so this will be noted in the bookings for the tour.
If you would both prefer to share with other travellers (of the same sex) then you should specify this to your booking agent.
Have a great trip!
