Hi there
I'm thinking of booking on the above tour either late this year or early next. Can anyone tell me how much hiking/walking is involved though, particularly in Sapa. I have a slight disability with one of my legs which isn't a problem in the normal course of events but if there's too much clambering around then I could have problems. To put it another way I wouldn't be able to do a trek but even quite long walks over uneven surfaces are fine - just no jumping over streams or clambering over rocks!
Any info you can give me will be fab!!
Thanks in advance.
Edie

Hi Edie
Thanks for your post. We are glad to hear that you are considering to book Beyond the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
I have been advised that you should have no problems on this tour and there is no jumping streams or clambering over rocks involved!

Thanks very much for your quick answer. So presumably trainers or walking sandals will be fine? It's my first time travelling alone so a bit worried about making sure I'm not out of my depth :-)
Also, a minor point, but reading through the trip notes just now I noticed you mention about getting clothes made in Hoi An - how wonderful!! Will it be possible to store purchases at the hotel in Hanoi rather than lugging them up to Sapa and back? I'm assuming we'll be returning to the same hotel in Hanoi???
Thanks for your assistance. I originally thought maybe I should stick with the 10 day tour but your email makes me think there's no reason why I should miss out on Sapa. Sounds just great.

HI Edie
I would suggest whatever you are most comfortable walking in as the last thing you want is boots/shoes which are new and uncomfortable.
As for having clothes made sounds like a good idea and you will be returning to the same hotel so that should not be a problem. Although the hotel may make a small charge for doing this.
Have a great trip
