Given today's bomb blasts and the terrosim warnings particularly for the Red Sea area, are the tours still running.

I am booked on the Nile Red Sea tour 1.11.04 is this still going ahead as planned.

Is it safe to travel in Egypt at the moment???

Re: Are the tours to the Red Sea still running

Hi Jodie,

I'm in Luxor at the moment and this event has been getting HUGE coverage on all the news channels here. One thing seems clear at the moment though and that is that the attacks were aimed at Israeli tourists who were in the Sinai for one of their public holidays.
As far as I can see the biggest worry amongst Egyptians here is that tourists will be scared off by these attacks. None of the tourists/travellers I've spoken to here seem to feel threatened in any way. We're all just getting on with our travels.
