I've booked on the Kenya Highlights trip 29th May, the itinerary suggests booking the ballooning trip in advance. Is it best to do this before arriving in Kenya or is it something the tour guide will book for us once we arrive?
Also, can you tell me how many people are booked on this tour so far?

Hello sclovie,
Thank you for posting on the forums!
I'd definitely recommend booking the ballooning in advance as quite often it gets fully booked out and you might be disappointed once you get on tour. If you wait until you are on tour there is a chance you might miss out.
At the moment your group has not reached minimum numbers but we will be able to update you again on this next week.
Best wishes,
Kelly
Thanks for the update.
If you can keep me posted on group numbers then I will book the balloon ride once minimum numbers are confirmed, and sort my visa. I already have my flight booked so fingers crossed it goes ahead! I assume I can book the balloon through ImTrav?
Hi sclovie,
Yes, you can book the Maasai Mara balloon through us and it costs £310 per person (needs to be paid upfront and then requested).
Perhaps the ultimate way to go game viewing, a hot air balloon safari over the great plains of the Masai Mara is an unparalleled experience.
Shortly before sunrise you take off and rise slowly into the air to drift along in near silence, carried by the breeze. You'll watch the sun climb over the edge of the earth and turn the grasslands golden, at times climbing high to clear the tree canopy, and the view will open up to reveal the vastness of the savannah stretching away on all sides.
Sometimes you'll descend to get a close-up look at the wildlife, passing silently above the herds as they graze on undisturbed. Hot air ballooning in the Maasai Mara offers an unforgettable way to see a truly spectacular part of the world.
Please keep in touch with regards to numbers booked and then we can get this underway for you.
Best wishes
Kelly
