Thanks for your post. On the Bangkok to Singapore tour you don't need to take a sleeping bag. Linen is provided in the hotels used, and also on the overnight trains. The weather should be quite hot so you shouldn't need any extra warmth.
This trip doesn't involve too much extensive walking on uneven ground so
either walking boots or trainers should be fine. The most important thing
is that your shoes are comfortable and worn in - the last thing you want is
a load of blisters when you're trying to do walks.
