Just a belated thank you to Jane Castledine(tour leader) and Alf?(regional organiser in China) from the Sichuan Explorer trip I did last September. Jane was a really top class act with regards to organising things and was as much part of the group as the rest of us. On arrival in Hong Kong, my luggage was delayed and did not arrive until the next morning, when we were due to travel to Yangshuo. Alf offered to stay at the hotel in Hong Kong until my luggage arrived and bring it with him to Yangshuo, as he was flying there later that day (we were travelling by train to Guangzhuo, and later by overnight train, to Yangshuo). Just as we were about to board the train leaving Hong Kong, Alf arrived on the platform with my luggage, which arrived at the hotel literally at the last minute. Duty above and beyond the call!!
It is with people like Jane and Alf in mind that I look forward to doing the South-East Asia explorer trip in June. Absolutely magnificent regard for tour participants. I know it will be a brilliant trip.
