Hello, I am travelling on 21 Jan but I have yet to receive any Pre-Departure booking. Kindly let me know when will I normally receive it.
Here is a few question:-
From the trip dossier it was mention that Hiking boots when ankle support is required, would there be any problem if I subsitute it witth normal sports shoe?
Do we need the sleeping mat? is sleeping bag enough?
Is there anywhere I can get in touch with other travellers in the same trip before departure?
Hope to hear from you soon.. Merry Christmas!!

Re: BTP general Questions
Hi Bernard,
I'm writing regarding your pre-departure information. If you could e-mail me privately (see below) with your booking reference number and who you booked with I'll be able to look into that for you. If you don't already have the trip dossier for the Beyond the Pyramids tour you can download it at: www.imtrav.com/dossiers/eabp.pdf
With regard to hiking boots: Many travellers use a trainer as an all-purpose shoe. However a trainer will make your feet sweat a lot more and will not give your ankle any protection. Speaking as someone who suffered an ankle injury four years ago which still gives me grief now, you should protect your ankles with hiking boots. We strongly recommend you buy and wear in a pair of lightweight hiking boots with good ankle support.
On the camping section of the tour a sleeping mat is provided, you will need to provide your own sleeping bag and sleeping sheet.
If you want to contact other people on your tour why not post on our "Seeking Travel Companions" forum and see who replies.
