The answer is that we cancel as few tours as possible. We genuinely hate to cancel a tour but are sometimes left with no option if nobody has signed up; after all, it wouldn't be much of a 'group' tour if only one person was taking part!
The minimum number required for most tours to go ahead is just 4 (lower than many of our competitors) and lower than 4 people does not mean we will definitely cancel a tour, it just means that it's a possibility.
You're more than welcome to ask us before you sign up how many have booked at the time to help you make your mind up although it's also worth bearing in mind that the earlier you sign up the fewer people are likely to be booked and that late bookings are common in many of our most popular destinations.
The decision as to whether or not a tour will operate due to low numbers is taken approximately 56 days before departure.

Hi McSpurious,

I hope this helps.
