I read on the LP site that a very high commission is charged when using travellers cheques in Jordan. Is this correct? If so, what do you sugest as an alternative to cash eg ATM, credit card withdrawal.
Thanks

Re: Changing money in Jordan
Hi Anna,
In most countries there is a charge for cashing TQ's. Jordan is no different but it remains the safest way to travel without the worries of cash.
Never rely on ATM machines for cash while travelling in the Middle East, while they are listed as widely available in the pamplets you receive from banks and visa etc, they are frequently out of service or very hrd to find.
Cheers
