I am travelling on the Kingdoms of the Nile tour departing 17 September. I would love to climb Mt Sinai and have 2 free days at the end of the tour. Can ImTrav help organise this at all? I know that it will involve departing Cairo at about 2am (shudder) but I have heard that it is well worth the early start.

Re: Climb Mt Sinai
Hi Karen
Glad to hear that you are coming over, you choosed the right time to come to Egypt.
To climb Mt. Sinai you need first to go to St Catherine in Sinai. It takes about 8 hours driving from Cairo to St Catherine. Then you need to spend the night in St Catherine Village before the early start (2:00 AM)for climbing the mountain to watch a brilliant sunrise , then you will need a transfer back to Cairo.
Then you can have as much free days as you like in Cairo.
We can organise all that for you if you book that option before you come on the trip.
Wishing you the best holiday ever Karen.
