I am considering taking this trip in March or April. Do you recommend one month over the other?

I have to admit that I am a little concerned about the 2 day camel trek. Do participants usually enjoy this aspect of the trip? Are you responsible for steering your own camel? How many camel drivers accompany the caravan?

Can you put me in touch with someone who has taken this specific tour?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Deserts and Kasbahs/Morocco

March and April are both generally good months to travel in Morocco, with April usually a little warmer. It is often still cold in mountains regions and in the deserts at night.

The camel trek is a great experience and can be lots of fun. Most people enjoy it very much. The camels are usually led by a camel driver and several camels may be tied in a 'train'. The number of camel drivers varies. You might like to look at another post in this Q & A forum about camel trek suggestions - these are comments from other people who have done this sort of thing before.

If you want to be in touch with other travellers, then the forums here are the way to get in touch with them - why not post something under the Middle East forum asking other travellers to tell their experiences.

Hope to see you in Morocco next year.
