I'm due to travel on the Jewels of Egypt tour in Setember. Do you recommend getting a visa on arrival in Cairo or getting it in advance, what do most people with British passports do, and is it a real hassel to sort it out on arrival especially as I land in Cairo at 23.35?
Many thanks Sharon

Visa
Please see the Egypt, Jordan section of the Forum for current answers to your questions.
If you have an ImTrav rep meeting your plan he will assist you with obtaining the Visa -- you just pay the money and get a stamp. Quick and easy!

Hi Sharon
With regards to your visa question - as Maureen has advised I agree it is an easy process at Cairo airport and your transfer representative will help you with this. Just next to where you queue up at immigration there a two small bank kiosks, just pay the man the fee USD/EUROS/EGYPTIAN POUNDS (I think GBP as well), you will receive your visa in the form of sticker, put in your passport and away you go!
Best wishes

The Visa
I went on this tour 2 years ago in september. It was a great experience, Me and my Buddie just got our visas when we arrived at cairo and we were met by the Imtrav rep, Only took us at most 5 mins to get the visa sorted, really is no hassle at all. Have a great trip I know I did.
Have a good one all
Hello Guys,
I would recommend contact a visa specialist company before you travel just to check that you can get your visa on arrival as it is dependent on nationalities. The phone number is 0207 2235295 or www.travcour.com
-visa requirements can change very quickly so it is always best to get them in advance if possible.
Thanks
Kate
