We are going on the Sailtrek/Sinai trip in mid-November and are wondering if we need to bring a sleeping bag or will a sleep sheet do? The reason for the question is that this tour is at the end of a longer trip and we do not want to bring a sleeping bag if it is not needed. Will it be cool on the felucca, hence a sleeping bag? Also, we are wondering if there is easy transport from Amman to Jerusalem at a reasonable rate. Thanks.

Re: Egypt/Jordan

Hi Aileen / Paul

You will definatly need your sleeping bags on the felucca cause by mid November it gets cold in Egypt espicially at night time.

For the transfer from Amman to Jerusalem, you can have it organized for you with private air-conditioned bus to take you from Amman to Jerusalem through the Allenby bridge and save you the hassle and the time of organising all this on your own. This will cost you 185 - 200 USD.

You can also find local taxis in Amman to take you to the Allenby bridge and then you cross the border and try to organise a taxi to take you to Jerusalem but in both sides you had to bargin to get the price down.

I wish you a very pleasent holiday in the Middle East.
