I am wondering how much, if any shade there is on the felucca. With temperatures expected to be in the high 30's, just a query.
And this is probably a really dumb question... can we swim from the boat?

All of the Felucca sailing boats that we use on the Nile are equipped with a canopy, this will give you plenty of shade during the heat of the day!
You can swim from the Felucca, and the majority of our clients choose to take a dip in the Nile, especially in the summer months. There are a few health issues to bare in mind, but generally speaking, in southern Egypt, swimming in the Nile is a wonderful experience.
